Interesting article - well done :D

WFG is akin to having your own web fiction library. I couldn’t live with out it these days!

WFG is da bomb. And I'm not merely saying that 'cause I'm an editor. I'm saying it because I'm bored and hungry but there's a cat on my lap and I realized that I've yet to comment on this article.

WFG is an amazing project and I was glad to get in at the beginning. The hole left by PagesUnbound's wake is something that needed to be filled and badly so.

Clean, easily to navigate, and a community center. Here's to future amazing times.

Very cool Chris. I'll have to read for a while before I get a feel for whose taste is similar to my own. I'll also make a point to crosspost my own reviews on WFG.

Also, for anybody who cares, I'm now going to be blogging with the folks at Air Theremin:
http://airtheremin.wordpress.com/

Obtrusive is still going to be around, but I think I'm going to enjoy the process more as part of a group than as an individual blogger.

Hi Sebatinsky,

That's great to hear!

Something you might want to know, if you want to follow specific editors, is that every member account has an RSS feed for reviews. Basically, just go to the member page (the editors' pages are all linked from the Editors page), and add /feed/ to the end of the URL. Mine is http://webfictionguide.com/members/cpoirier/feed/ for instance.

It's on my list of things to do to make those feeds easier to get to. For now, though, you can just edit the URL.

This really illuminated the WFG project for me. I spent some time exploring the site, and I have to agree - it's excellent! The editorial reviews are great, because they offer you the ability to pick out which editors share your taste, but you also offer readers the opportunity to build their reputation with other readers by writing great reviews.

Definitely on my "stuff I read" list now.

I agree - I've already submitted and am already on there! I think it's a great idea and look forward to seeing the improvements making it even better as you go along.

I wondered when this article would appear.

Despite being around for most of this, I actually learned a few things about the "pre-WFG" stage.
